Unipesa x DigiCash: Expanding Tanzania’s Digital Payment Infrastructure

Unipesa is pleased to announce its official operational entry into Tanzania through a strategic collaboration with DigiCash LLC, a payment service provider licensed by the Bank of Tanzania.

This collaboration comes at a time when the country is experiencing strong digital acceleration. According to the Bank of Tanzania’s 2024 report, real-time payments via TIPS reached USD 11.6 billion (up from USD 4.9B in 2023), with transaction volumes nearly doubling to 454 million.
